i dint know were to post so i did it here lol. i have tick that i dont know where its from. when i turn the car on in the morning theres no tick after i let it warm up for while the you can hear the tick, if i turn the car off and turn it back on the tick is gone and then it come back in while. my mechanic had told when he swapped the engines that i had and exhaust leak due crappy bolts we used. idk if having a leak in the manifold connecting to the exhaust pipe cause a ticking noise. i was going to pour that liquid that eliminates the the lifter tick to see if it was that but i heaerd bad things.

pop your hood and give your mani's a listen. i've got a tick coming from my passenger header and it's just a blown header gasket i've gotta fix --- hopefully that's all you've got going on. mine is pretty easy to hear even when i first start up though.

i can also smell exhaust coming from that side and i've heard leaking headers before so it's pretty recognizable. does the ticking get faster under throttle? can you smell fumes? notice any loose bolts?

DO NOT USE THE STUFF TO REMOVE LIFTER TICK

        hopefully you didnt already.

but your problem isnt a lifter tick, most likely an exhaust or EGR tick
