    Re: Cam headers and intake

You can get like 400rwhp on stock internals with a good turbo setup. And if you don't know if you are gunna do a turbo later on go with something like the vs cam. Ssms says it's pretty much an all around cam. And zzperformance says the gt series reacts well under boost. But it's going to be difficult to get 270rwhp n/a. Wickedsixx did it and ran 12's but it was pretty much an all out motor. And I'm pretty confident with gears, LSD, intake full exhaust, aluminum d/s, hptuners, weight reduction, vette servo, and maybe some porting you could take a g35 no problem.

your questioning the fact that a 3800 with HEADS,CAM,INTAKE,EXHAUST,TUNE,WEIGHT,and gear. you could take a g35...ha. he'll need alot less than that to beat one. Its not like there 12 second cars. nore 13.

You want to take a g35. do full bolt ons, 4.10s, mail order tune, weight reduction, stall (if auto) and some DRs or slicks. You'll take him. and this is the cheapest easiest route. Its all about how you get your power to the pavement.

I was stating that all he needs is bolt ons to take a g35. A cam wouldnt be necessary.

how much hp did the headers give you?

Honestly flowmasters suck performance wise. More like Chokemaster.

He will have to upgrade alot of the top end to run a big gnarly a** cam.
