just like the title says im wondering if theyll be compatible because the 93-97 are cheaper than the ones from 98-02 and ive been needing a replacement for mine

going off of looks and part numbers, im going to say no, they are not interchangeable.
Ill be repalcing both my motors as well, and while theyre out im swapping to brass gears, I suggest you to do the same lol. -

these motors are the same. wouldn't hurt to get some brass gears but they aren't cheap!Comment

the connectors are different. just cut and wire your connectors to the different motors. i have replaced my 96 front end with a 02 front end, i'm positive they are the same. also, the brass gears will still strip if you don't get the motor cover back on really good. a guy on ebay sells these gears and has designed a piece to keep the cover attached securely.Comment

who did you buy them from i bought the brass gear but it just stripped on my...when it took out my motor it had a long crack running through the side of it which is why i have to buy a new one now bt noticed that the 93-97 are cheaper than 98-02Originally posted by thats_reality View PostComment
