Hey guys...I was trying to change the plugs on my '98 3.8 today, and encountered a bit of trouble. The two in the front were easy, and I also managed to get the rear one on the driver's side. The two rear on the passenger side and the middle one on the driver's side were much harder though, and I ran out of daylight before I could get anywhere with them. It seems that it will be easier to do these from underneath the car, and that is how I tried to do it. I was wondering if anyone out there knows an easy way to take care of this? Any tips would be great! Thanks

An easy way to change the plugs...lol.
They will never be easy with stock manifolds. What will happen is that they will seem easier to you over time. With practice, you won't think it is such a big deal. It takes me about 5 minutes each to change #4 and #6 cylinders. (Became a nightly ritual for me changing those two plugs)
Make sure you have a variety of extensions, wobbles, and more importantly ..... patience. Get use to the idea of being able to work without even being able to see exactly what your hands are doing. Oh yeah, make sure you have alot of cuss words ready and bandaids.

I did all 6 from up top using:
spark plug socket
2" extension
ratchet
mechanix gloves (yes, I consider them indisposable after this job, saved my hands many, many times)
Took me about 2 hours, I even managed to fit in the torque wrench to torque them correctly
But I also have tubular manifolds.
Really the hardest part is getting off the boot. Mechanix gloves help a lot here because you don't have to worry about the hands so much & it helps with the grip. My boots were quite stuck on there.
The spark plugs on my mom's blazer are a beast though. Took me two hours to get two changed.
