Whenever I turn my steering wheel the voltage meter drops to just above the red hash marks. If it's night time you can see the lights dim out. However once I just tap on the throttle the alternator recharges the voltage. Is there something wrong here?

I'll check the terminals but I only notice the dropping voltage if the car is idling and not moving. If I turn the car while it's moving it's fine.

Seems like every so often I have to get on and post this... :D . I had the same problems... whenever the accelerator wasn't being used, my headlights would dim, dashlights, everything. I took it in several times b/c it was still under warranty, always said they couldn't find the trouble. Finally, I got a good service manager who took a ride with me one night. When he saw the problem, he personally put in a call to GM. The answer? For some reason, the factory power wires just don't cut it. The solution? Now I have an extra power wire running from my alternator. There was a part code and all. If you guys need it, I'll see if I can dig it out. Hope this solves your problems!
