I have a 1999 Chevy Camaro with a 3.8......I want to use Hypertech's Power programmer. Hypertech says they do not make one for the 99 but they make one for the 2000 camaro with the 3.8.....Has anyone tried to use the 2000 programmer on a 1999 camaro?

I wouldn't try it, if they didn't make is specifically for your model year, don't use it.

They say on here that the wiring harness / pinouts are the same for the '99 and '00, so what you have to do is get a '00 pcm and swap it in. Then you can run the hypertech. That's what they say anyway...
