  • Any ideas on how to get DRLs to stay on even at night?

I've got clear corners and some PIAA extreme white 7443 (3157) bulbs in them. The high voltage filament that is for the DRLs looks good and is very bright, but when the headlights come on it uses the other filament which is only like 7w or something and they dim a lot. The color is kinda off too, a little greenish. How can I get the high side to stay on all the time?

I disabled my automatic headlights, so the DRLs are on even at nite. But I guess u want them on along with the headlights, that I dont know.
But, it's still pretty cool with the DRLs and fogs only, looks aggressive.

Yeah, exactly, I want them to be on even with the headlights. I guess if I just disable the automatic lights then I could run with the DRLs and fogs, but I've been hassled by cops before for that =) I need to figure something out.

First you need to get a volt reading from the wires. Find out what the output is on low and high. If you are lucky the high setting will be 12v. Then you cut all the wires and rewire it to a 12v line that turns on when you turn the key like the line for your stereo. Thats the quickest way that comes to my mind. An on/off switch would be nice if you ever needed to jump start the car or have a low battery. The lights can draw enough power to make jumpstarting hard leaving you and your family stuck in a shopping center parking lot in florida in a rain storm for hours. Ask me how I know this, go on ask ;) . I would love to give you a hand with this Pilot if you want. Just let me know.
