  • WEIGHT REDUCTION

    Ok i just want some things i can do to bring down the cars weight...no cuttin....but other than that list away....and if you know the amount of weight dropped (btw i did search)

        By all means do share... we need to lose some weight... I was shocked when I found out my V6 weighed nearly as much as a Z28...

          spare and jack
          front sway
          air conditioner components
          various interior pieces
          wiper motor

          engine and transmission for the ultimate weight reduction :D

                  Ok let me narrow this down.....
                  Reduction that wont affect daily driving other than occupant seating (they dont matter)

                    I took out my spare tire, jack, rear seat, rear seatbelts, and that power robing air silencer
                    (and did the pvc mod) and my cars weight dropped from 3329 lbs to 3280 lbs! Not bad...

                      Removed all subs/enclosures
                      Lightweight racing steering wheel
                      Removed all air bags
                      Removed panneling from under hatch
                      Removed dynamat (sound proofing) from under carpet
                      Fiberglass hood and spoiler
                      Lightweight driveshaft
                      Low fuel level when racing
                      Removed front bumper support brace

                      ..i used to have the spare/jack out, carpeting, all plastic pannels, all seats..but i got a little tired of the look..like i always say..i like the best of both street and track [img]smile.gif[/img]

                              Sometime next week I'm getting the following items installed: Flowmaster Cat-Back Exhaust System, SLP Fan Switch, and my Hypertech 180 PowerStat! Can't Wait!!! Right now I have my own custom pvc intake w/ a Fram Air Hog and a shaved air box lid.
