Anyone know where this is acutally located, and the steps in changing it? I'm not even 100% sure thats the problem since i hear it runing.

When ever i turn the vent on i can hear a crazy hum and vibration come from under the passenger side dash, however little to no air comes out the vent. I wonder if something is blocking the fan itself after sitting so long ( i have heard of debris getting down in it). So basically im just wanting to know where its all at and how to access it, so i can do some investigating.

Its located underneath the glove box, pretty much where the passenger would have their right foot located. I had to take out the kick pannel to get the last bolt.

Just remove that cover underneath glove box, then you'll see a round looking thing held in by 3 bolts. Remove those bolts, and unplug it, clean it. Plug it back in and see if it runs.

Im sure someone can give a more in depth stepp-by-step. But its so easy to do.

alright sounds easy enough. I guess if im hearing it run its probably not a bad motor, more just osmething clogging up the fan part of it? Once the motor is off will i have access to clean around the fan or where ever some debris would settle?

The actual fan is a sort of bucket with the fan blades on the sides. It will fill up with all kinds of crap depending on where you usually park your car. When you take the three bolts out, you'll be able to drop out the whole "bucket" and you can just dump it out.

When I cleaned mine out because of excessive noise, I had a good hand-full of small leaves and other debris. It's as easy as whitdog said.

Does anyone know where the actual intake is on the outside of the car? Maybe that can be covered with a screen or something. I had this issue when my car was about a year old. The dealer took care of it at that time though. I thought it was a bad motor too.

I still need to give it some time to air out. seems the funk of rotting mice has tanted my vents.

Reminds me of like "Looney Tunes" or something where they show a car moving, and then inside there's mice running in a wheel instead of an engine... lol...

That's gross. I'd be spraying some Lysol or bleach on that. Ugh.
