    97 firebird gas gage

    Got a 1997 firbird and the gas gage will swing from full to empty while turnig a corner . It use to move a little but now it going crazy when turn or steer back and forth . when driving straight it seems fine and seems to show gas amout ok . Any ideas?

    This is a somewhat normal problem, its the way GM designed the fuel sending unit/tank design.

    if it is getting worse, you could replace it, but it consists of either dropping your gas tank, or cutting a hole in your hatch area to take it out.
