  • Standing water inside my car . . . suggestions?

Noticed a bit ago that the driver-side floor of my car was a bit damp . .. okay, it was soaked.

Today I found nearlly an inch of standing water sitting in that spot right behind the driver's seat.

The rest of the car is dry for the most part. The water does move to the front of the driver's side while driving, but where's it coming from?

Anyone else had this? Where's the problem and what can I do about it?

Hey, this problem comes up every once in a while. Don't remember what exactly, but I fuzzily recall it coming in from the back seat area. Sorry, I got bad memory nowadays. Did you do a search?

One idea to trace the leak that may be easier than stripping the car - try turning the leak inside out.

Start the car. Run the vent/AC/whatever on full blast. Douse your car with soapy water (it needs a wash, right)?

You might get lucky and find your leak blowing bubbles at you :)

Won't work as good for underside or engine bay leaks, but top and sides should be good.

check that little cheap looking piece of plastic between the window and the A(B?) pillar...
mine was a little undone, and it caused some bad leaking.
