hi i'm a newbie here but i have a 98 firebird v-6 Manual. i had a check engine light and had it checked it's code P0420 catalyst system efficiency below threshold i'm not to sure what this means if anyone can help me i'm guessing it's the catalatic converter. but anyways the car does not go over 3500 rpm and has no power whatsoever.
any help is greatly appreciated.
That means your o2 senser behind the cat is telling you car the cat is bad. It could be the o2 senser, or the cat. It might not go over 3500 because of a governor, i think mine is 4000k
