• Seafoamed...found my oil leak

I have an oil leak :(

It seems to be coming from the passenger side valve cover. There are some BIG oil spots where I park in my driveway because of this leak.

My brother and I decided to Seafoam my engine. We did his 3.8 through the TB vacuum line, and it worked like everyone said: Car stalls, wait, start up, lots of smoke!

After reading this board, I took the advice here and did it through the brake booster vacuum line. Disconnected the line, idle shot up big time! Put the seafoam in...but the car did not get to the point of stalling It ran enought to start burning off the seafoam! I had smoke coming out of my exhaust (duh ), but it also came out where I was leaking oil inside the engine compartment! It basically looked like a lot of white smoke came from my pass side valve cover.

I shut the car down, waited, started up...and there wasn't much smoke anymore. I still drove around at WOT (and got yelled at by an old guy saying "slow it down" :D ) until the smoke went away.

Was it bad the smoke came out through the engine? I pooped myself until I realized it came out through the oil leak.

Any other thoughts or suggestions on my oil leak/seafoam smoking my engine bay problem?

Where can I buy seafoam? I've heard such good things about it, and I'm sure my car needs it (126000 miles). How much? I tried Auto zone..

Was a ***** to find a napa here only one of them.

My car did not puff that much smoke course I took off my upper intake, TB and all my vaccum lines and soaked them and scrubbed them with engine degreaser, carbon remover.

My girlfreind's car puffed a crapload of smoke.

Its worth doing pretty easy and supposedly good for the car.

Hey man, did you ever fix that oil leak? I have one right now too and I put Seafoam in today and it did the same thing you mention. Smoke came up in the passenger side of the engine.
