idleling at 2 grand in park only whats up?

I have a 1994 Camaro v6 3.4 and in park it idles at 2grand, this problem is still there when the car is warmed up. This does not happen when in drive, but it is there in neutral.ANy idea well help.

I would check for vacuum leaks and clean my Idle Air Control valve

Yep check for vacuum leaks. Make sure that T fitting in the front is pushed all the way in, and check all the hoses.

What the idle air control valve? And would it be responsible for zero idle? unless I hold a the smallest fraction of throttle open?

the idle air control is basically the choke on fuel injected engines.

it lets air into the engine while the throttle blades are shut to control the idle of the engine.
