I was driving my car tonight, after I let my dad borrow the car for the afternoon, and when I started it up there is now a weird high pitched noise coming from the rear end. (I'm not ever letting my dad borrow my camaro again haha). The sound isn't coming from my speakers, and it isn't my A/C causing this problem. When i got out of the car to listen to where it was coming from, it sounded to be coming from the lower rear near my exhaust (which has never give me problems, its the Magnaflow 15693 BTW). I really cant get a good look at it right now, since its raining outside, and its past midnight. Any ideas as to what it could be? any help would be really appreciated!
Thank you,
Bob

Reason: misspelling
That sounds about right.... will I need to replace it ASAP?
it depends on car to car.
some people claim when they started hearing the whine their fuel pump died within a week, my fuel pump has been whining for almost a year now and everything is great.
it whines pretty loud when i start my car at night and let the ebrake off so the headlights turn on and cause an electrical drain
Re: Wierd High Pitched Noise comming from rear end
Mine's whined since I got the car... 5 years ago. Fuel pressure's just fine and everything. Some are just louder than others. Maybe try replacing your fuel filter if you haven't done that recently and see if that makes a difference.
