hey ya'll, i searched out & read up on removing the heater hose assembly ('98 3.8/auto) but i can't see how to Remove the Clamshell Bracket holding both the hoses to the inner passenger wheelwell area? i remember reading there is a allen head holding it on, but with all the hard lines in the way (ac/tranny cooler) there seems to be no possible way to get a allen wrench/socket down there? ...haven't tried going from underneath yet...may try that this weekend? ...just fishing for any ideals from someone who's already hit this snag --thanks

Re: removing heater hose assembly
iirc, my hoses were just attached at the firewall by hose clamps. There is a torx-head bolt on the inner wheel well above the engine mount, I believe...Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..

Re: removing heater hose assembly
Yeah I just looked at mine and it looks like there are just those hose clamps holding them on back there. They look like they will be a PITA to get at, it's pretty tight back there. There is also that bracket holding them on to the wheel well. You'll probably have to get at it from underneath, or maybe a swivel would help. I never noticed that before with the hard lines. That's going to be lots of fun to deal with. Even though they are hard lines, you can still push them out of the way a little bit.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock
