I was thinking plugs too. But I told them that it cant be driven due to the oil. I wasnt really sure so I just gave them the money back. But they still wanted it. I hope it works out for them, I really do.

Glad to hear your came out OK.
I just know if I knew an engine was shot and not going to last more than a couple more starts that I wouldn't be able to sleep at night after telling them it should be fine even though it clearly wasn't alright if you had to trailer it. But maybe they are swapping out the engine for a v8 or something and mainly wanted it as a roller anyways. That is maybe why they didn't care.

I never said it was fine after it turned off on them (at which I immediately gave the money back). I told them Im taking it home and changing the oil a few times (to get all the water out from the TB leak). Then if that didnt fix it then I have to tear into it further because the TB wouldnt have been the only issue. They said they still want it...

To me I think its dirty oil and plugs. It smoked like hell before the TB gasket change, it doesnt at all now.

Hey, you were upfront about the issues and offered to refund their money. You even got it to their house. They know what they are getting. You did everything right. You took the high road. Don't worry about it.
