  • AC High Pressure Switch Bypass?

Hello gang. I got myself a beater daily driver so I can get the cam and turbo setup I want for the camaro in the next few months. It's a 95 Buick Lesabre with the L27 (3800 Series I) motor. Right now I'm working on the A/C Compressor. I got a reman'ed unit, yea yea re-manufactured units suck I know..., but the alternative was 50% more cost and the same 1 year warranty. The compressor is in after a couple of hours of swearing and knuckle busting. I'm not seeing any leaks with UV dye.

Here is the problem: The reman'ed compressor has no built in high pressure switch. It's got some kind of weird seal/plug I couldn't pull out instead. I wanted to install a new switch, but now it seems like maybe it's not possible on the reman'ed unit. How can I bypass the high pressure switch correctly?

I've been trying to get this beater up to code, so far I've replaced: valve cover gaskets, brake rotors, brake pads, water pump, seafoam (tank, crank & intake), oil change, air filter, fuel filter, and some other tuneup stuff. I'd really like the A/C to work and get back to modding the camaro!

OKaiii so apparently what you need to do is just jump the plug with a wire. Loaded up on refrigerant and it works perfect.
