Just wondering how hard it is to install the alternator on my 96 firebird 3.8 I searched but never found anything on installing it. Thanks

Shouldnt be that hard BTW just a tip when your alt goes out its always best to replace the battery and the alt both at the same time.
Just to save you some problems down the road. -

You don't need to replace the battery with the alternator. A bad alternator CAN make the battery go bad and vice versa, but it is not always a certain thing. My battery was dieing and I replaced it... Car runs much better but the voltometer drops into the red everynow and then... (especially when the AC's running) Today it hasn't dropped into the red at all... I'm questiong myself, was it a bad battery or bad alternator???... perhaps both.
