    Re: Car wont start

I'm at a loss.. This is hard to do without the car in front of you ya know.. Check all your wires. Maybe a lil chipmunk was nibbling on something he shouldn't have been. I can't remember exactly where they run from the tank up but I know you can see some of them from underneath the car.

yea i'm going to get under it and check everything. It sure seems like a loose connection somewhere.

havent gotten around to checking the wires. But i know there is like a plug near the hatch area under the car that a lot of the electrical stuff runs to. Doesn anybody know which wire is fuel pump so i can check wire for power. also does the BCM have anything to do with power to the pump?

Any luck on the wiring? I think I've been having the same problem. When I put a new pump in it will last for a little while then stop priming. I think I need to check my wiring as well.

Yes the BCM will cut power to the fuel pump if it thinks your not using the correct key.

ok well i figured out the problem. its the plug that runs from the fuel pump into a plug in the chassis right above the rear axle. I will try to get a picture up sometime today. a wire looks like it has been shorting

Glad you found the problem. That will be good to know for future reference.

Here are the pictures..Kinda crappy but you can tell which wire has been shorting. Any way to fix this?

If you are sure that the plug is where it's shorting, just cut and splice it around the plug. Just make sure the splice is weatherproof.
