  • possible vaccume leak

I think I have a vacume leak now, under accelerration it makes a hissing sound, and it feels like it has less than 100hp now. What does the vaccume system consist of? I know nothing about them for cars, and could it be an easy fix, or does it depend what part has gone wrong? I have a 3.4 camaro BTW with almost 160,000 miles.

it should be an easy fix if you can find out where the sound is coming from. start the car and listen to it so you can pin point where the sound is coming from.

Ok I found out what it was, the honeycome stuff in the cat. converter broken all up and cloggin up the whole exhaust system. And the knocking noise the engine has been making for the last two weeks prolly has something to do with the cat converter being stopped up (hopefully and maybe it'll go away onced fixed). I already ordered a new one, and the car is sitting at an exaust shop now, I wont have it back untill Tuesday, and it cost me just under $190. :( :(
