My security light is on full-time. No problems starting though, and using the spare key does not make it go off. What could the problem be? Is there some sort of module that controls this system (mine is a 2001, BTW). I don't think it would be the ign cylinder because if the contacts went bad it would not start.

Can a scan tool get a code from it like you do if your Service Engine light comes on?
