Wierd Idle????

well when my car idles the rpms jump a little bit like 100rpms each way and some time it will jump a little more but usually not that much but is real anoying. My volt meter moves back and forth and once in a while will totally go to like 8 volts. And my oil pressure gauge moves aroun when this is happening as well. I also notice at night my lights kinda dim while its idleing wierd. So please any suggestions on what this could be would be great. Thanks

could be a ground problem, maybe to your gauge cluster. Get alt & batt checked also.

battery and alternator seem fine.....i put them on the volt meter

did you have the alt tested under load too? I read that if it is puttinf\g out too much voltage, it could mess w/your gauges
