Okay, after upgrading my exhaust to a 3" high flow CAT and a 3" Magnaflow CAT back system, my SES decideds to go off after two days of driving my 2001 bird. Code reader said it was the CAT setting this off. I had the code removed and installed my Jet PCM stage II. All was well and the SES was nowhere to be seen after installation. (Great) After about 20 mins of driving, the SES went off again for the same reason. Now, I know modifications can set the SES off thinking a bolt on is a potential problem, but isn't the JET PCM supposed to compensate for that? Or is my CAT really messed? Could my JET PCM be defective? This is really starting to peeve me. Any help would be appreciated, thanx guys.

If you did a search for catco high-flow cats, you'll find that in about 90% of the cases, the 3 inch catco is going to trip the ses light. You are going to have to get a o2 sim to rid of it.

Thanx for the reply, if its what I have to do then I'll do it. But what does an O2 sim do, and how do I obtain one?

Just about every performance site for our cars has them, what you do is pull the sensors out of your cat and put them into a computer controled unit that fakes a code to the computer to make it think u are running cats that are performing nomally.

I found the O2 simms on T-Byrne Motorsports webpage. The thing is its placed under the V8 LT1/LS1 section and not in the V6 3.4/3.8 section. Should I still pursue it? Will it fit? Will it cause more probs?

Thanx for all the help guys, its good to know theres help when u need it. Its also good to know your not alone. I hope I learn enough to help reply and help someone else sometime soon.
