any clue on how much it costs to replace an ignition column on the 2000 fbodies? Mine's sticking and had a locksmith just use WD-40 on it and said that's all he could do for me. Thanks

Are you serious? A 2000 and your ignition is going out already? Are you sure it's just not the steering wheel lock? I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but that seems to puzzle a lot of people. After removing the key, if you turn the wheel it will lock. Then when you re-insert the key, it won't turn unless you turn the wheel a little bit. I'm not entirely sure what you're speaking of meaning your ignition sticks....??? I would think with a 2000 it would still be covered under warranty.

If you have an automatic and the key sticks in the ignition then you have to adjust a thing under the shifter plate. You can find it on this board by searching for it.

ya the bad boy sticks in the 'on' position when i try to shut the engine down. had the locksmith come out and take a look, he lubed it up with WD40 and said that's all he can do with our ignitions. Unfortunatly the warrenty ran out a month ago, but i think my insurance will cover it. the locksmith said the ignition alone costs around 400 bucks, not sure about install costs, ugh!
