  • Finally found site where i got Motorvator spacer...

Ok i know alot of you have asked questions about where i got my Motorvator spacer. I finally found the site it was rpmoutlet.com. The site never left like i thought it did they just stopped their camaro mainpage when they stopped making camaro's. Anyways here is a link. http://www.camarov6.com/cgi-bin/ulti...b=newtopic;f=1 ...hope i posted the link right. Just go down to gm car application and it will have the 3.8 maro. I know alot of people dont like these but it gave me a bigger kick than my slp intake, no lie.

It really helped me out. It was also my first mod and it made that good of a difference. Only about 30 minute install.

That one's nice, but it still has the passthrough for coolant. The one from zzzperformance doesn't have the passthrough.

Then you could just make your own gasket.

The MotorVator Throttle Body Spacer is a billet aluminum 1-inch spacer that installs between the factory throttle body, and the intake manifold. This additional height, combined with the unique screw design, creates vortex airflow. This greatly improves fuel atomization and increases the velocity of air into your engine (without the obvious whistling sound). In turn, this will increase combustion, dramatically increasing torque and improved fuel economy. The end result is hard to believe, but this innocent-looking spacer can provide you with up to 10+ extra horsepower and 2 mpg.
Sounds like a Tornado to me.

I thought the idea behind a spacer was to keep the throttle body cooler so the air didn't heat up as much in it (or something like that).

This thing sounds like a gimmick.
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)

I'm with him. The "helix" is total Tornado BS. 2 years of fluid dynamics, and heat, mass, and momentum transfer = laugh at this kind of stuff. And an aluminum spacer doesn't do much to reduce heat transfer.

That said, gains may be noticed due to the longer intake length adding a little torque at the low end. Might lose a bit at high end though.

Does it make a whistling sound like some other spacers?
