Door won't lock and alarm issues...

So, the other day I pressed unlock on my viper keyless entry remote and nothing happened. I thought maybe the batteries were dead, so I replaced them, and still nothing happened. Also, my remote start won't work, and my viper car alarm won't turn on. At about the same time, my driver side door became increasingly difficult to lock, and is now to the point where I cannot get it to lock. I use to be able to turn the key extra hard and it would lock, but no amount of force will lock it now.

A week or so more of these issues, and the car alarm with remote start suddenly started working again... for about 2 weeks. During this time the driver side door was still unlockable. Anyway, now the alarm seems to have turned back off, so I have no car alarm, keyless entry, remote start, or driver side door lock...

Anyone have any ideas on either issue? Should I just replace the lock cylinder and see how that goes? On both issues I am not very experienced, so any direction would be most appreciated. Thanks!
