I did it and was able to swap my odometer....the milage was perfect....it may just have been because I swapped a 98 V6 for 98 Z28 cluster. I used the dakota digital and it works fine as long as you tell them that it is for a late model camaro.

Problem: you cant swap the odometer on 99-up clusters. I've tried. :( GM dealerships cant even code them- if they get one that needs coded, they have to send it out to a separate vendor. I'm just going to wait until my car has 44,000 miles on it like my tricked out Z28 cluster that is sitting on my dresser...

i swaped my 95 3.4 out with a 95 z28 and all my gadges work great except the speedometer, the tach reads great its not of at all. the oil pressure light does need to be fixed it reads a little weird. ilove it i just need to fix the speedo.95 \"Deep Metallic Purple\" camaro
160 hp
1/4 mile in the 17\'s at 86 mph
http://community.webshots.com/album/91867924TYiSkT?515

I also put a 95 Z28 Cluster in my 94 3.4
Everything worked fine, except the RPM guage. It was lower than it was supposed to be because I'm sure it was wondering where the hell the other two cylinders were. I'm sure the oil pressure guage was off as well, but it was an easy swap. Make sure you get one from the same exact year or very close.
I only did it because the one in my 3.4 was fubar'ed. I should have bought another V6 one especially since I shifted only by how the engined sounded, even in races which I'm sure cost me.
Good luck.-1999 Camaro Coupe 3800 Series II V6 A4 - SOLD
-1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP coupe

Here is how I did mine:
95 camaro (me)
swapped in 95-96 Z28 gauges
moved a resister from my v6 board to the corresponding resistor on the v8 board(in the cluster, this is the only part in the tach circuit that was different).
everything works fine. but I do have a different cluster than you 97+ people.2005 Ford Focus ZX3 SE D20 M5 - Modified ;) http://www.knightenmotorsports.com
[ U R L = h t t p : / / w w w . g e o c i t i e s . c o m / h e a r t l a n d _ h e a t _ v 6 ] Heartland Heat V6 [ / U R L ]

I've been searching for an answer to this myself. I've got a cluster from a 2000 LS1 automatic. Lord says the odometers on 99+ clusters can't be swapped. That's the first time I've heard that. Has anyone with a 99+ done this without waiting to run up their mileage? If so, how?2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London.
