Re: Car heating up too fast?
Well, it didn't heat up this fast before I deployed... not it is warmed completely up in under 2 minutes. Just seems strange. It gets to normal operating temperatures.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. Re: Car heating up too fast?
Stock temps for our 3.8 is 220 then frist fan then 230 2nd fan , I would have to look at a 02' LS1 Bin and see if their about the same. I know GM has them run hot. But this is the hottest time of the year though.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake

Re: Car heating up too fast?
Did you drive it in this kind of heat before you were deployed? I don't know what kinda temps you're seeing in your area, but the 100*+ weather around here warms up any car in almost no time.'99 Camaro

Re: Car heating up too fast?
Hmm, maybe it is the heat. It's been pretty warm here lately for Washington. Usually it's cold and rainy but we've been lucky to have weather in the high 70's to low 80's. Hmm. I'll chock it up to that. Thanks everyone. I just wanted to make sure something wasn't wrong, it just seemed too fast and not healthy for the engine.#1:1999 pewter metallic y87 rs A4 camaro.check out the pics on the link below
#2:Bright red 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. My Formula used warm up and throw heat in under 2 minutes, in the dead of winter. Aluminum is an excellent conductor of heat.www.fullthrottlev6.com
www.chitownracing.com

Re: Car heating up too fast?
I ran mine today for 3-4 hour round trip to Prescott ,AZ. I started here in the city and it was 221 degrees on the highway on my scanner, and when I got up north it went down to 185 degrees , shows what a 2 hour drive and 20-30 degree lower temps will do. I think it was 112 here in Phoenix, and like 80 in Prescott, so nice up there. I need to move. LOL But its 5100 ft. compared to 1200 ft. difference.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
