  • How would I know if my power steering or Water pump is bad?

Back about a month or two ago I blew you the bypass line doing donuts for the coolant and was able to fix that to my liking. Just now and I drove my car during lunch, I went to put the car in park and I hear a loud noise like I may have hit a curb with the air foiler.

Come out, start the car up and start to driving and noticed my steering is very difficult(similar to when I blew the power steering in my Z28 7 years ago). As I got closer to work I noticed that my A/C was no longer blowing cold and my water temperature was rising fast.

I haven't popped the hood yet but what do you all think?

That's what I'm thinking. Why have you not popped the hood yet?

he can't find the hood latch lever to pop the hood...that will be his next question. lol

most people would at least pop their hood and check things out before running to the internet, lol

I think your motor threw a rod. I would go the junkyard and start looking for a new block.........

Had to get back to work. A lot easier to sit in front of a computer than stand in a parking lot of 90+ heat troubleshooting. I drove the car for >2 miles so if I popped the belt off that would be amazing.

the only thing that can cause those symptoms is either a very bad slipping belt, or one that broke.

replace it and your problems will go away

just giving you a hard time.

cant help until you pop your hood, because if its just a belt then its a waste of time asking.

No. It happens often to those that don't put the bolts/bracket back on the rear of the AC compressor.

Exactly, at least I now know why my car made a clunking sound when I turned on that side. :(

I really hope the mechanic is able to do something. I couldn't see anything because it was dark but I'm assuming the bolt in the back was never attached so it may still be there but the bracket for the front is fvcked.

I can't believe that I have made it >6 months with it like that and nothing happened.

But... the belt came off when that happened (more or less), right? :stp:
