Reprogramming keyless entry.. whats happening?

My '00 Camaro was set to "2 beeps and lights flash" with I lock the car with the keyless entry. I get home from work late and don't want the beeps to wake up my neighbors so I reprogrammed the mode.

I followed the steps given in the owners manual and successfully changed the mode to "lights flash only". The problem that I have is now when I put the key in the ignition and click it back towards me, I can hear a grinding noise coming from behind the middle of the dash. If you can imagine, it sounds like this.. "Whaa whaa whaa whaa whaa whaa".

I pulled the radio fuse a few times and placed it back into the slot and still hear the same noise.

Anyone even experience this problem?

Haha my wife said the same thing!! You watching too much Buffy the Vampire Slayer as well? Sick of that show..
