Just wondering. There is large amounts of coolant in my car for no reason. Just happened to be a lot. And for some reason its a milky pink color. Is that normal?

whoa.....thats some funky monkey! I've never heard of it being that color, but I could be mistaken. When you say it's in your car, do you mean in the tank it's suppossed to be in...or your back seat?99\' Black Camaro SS
M6/T-Tops - SLPLid w/K&N | Hurst Billet Plus w/ LSS | EGR Mod
Black 97\' Camaro T-Tops (RIP)

DON'T EMPTY IT!!!! The pink stuff is the new DexCool coolant. It's the stock stuff that GM uses now. It's supposed to have super-duper corrosion inhibitors in it and such, that's why they claim that you don't need to flush the system for like 150,000 miles. If you need to add coolant, you will need to make sure that the stuff you use is DexCool compatible. You could get the DexCool, but a guy in the service department of a Chevy dealer said it runs like $5.00 a gallon or quart, I can't remember which.Wife and a dog, they both think they\'re Kujo.

1999 3.8 A4 Y87
Navy Blue Metallic
BFG G-Force KDWS 275/40/17s,
WS6 Wheels (17x9)
Phoenix Transmissions 2400 Stall Converter
FRA, Holley Powershot filter, Whisper Lid, Ported Throttlebody
2000 manifolds, Flowmaster, WS6 Tail Pipes,
MSD 8.5mm Wires, MSD Coils, Autolite plugs
Performance Cryogenics treated rotors
1LE Sway Bars and panhard rod, 1LE front springs w/SLP Bilsteins, stock rear springs w/ 3rd Gen Bilsteins, BMR STB, KBDD SFCs, 1LE rear lower control arms, 1LE front lower control arms
1968 Chevelle Malibu 327 TH350

Dex-Cool is orange not milky-pink. I have no idea why it would be that color. Anyways, you can pick up dex-cool at any auto parts store. A couple differnt companies make it, so you dont have to get ripped off at the dealership.
And if you have a lot of coolant in your overflow tank dont worry about it, if anything if your car overheats, which it most likely will never do, it might just not have enough room to catch the all the over flow. But I really wouldn't worry about too much, just too little.
And no you are not supposed to mix the green and the orange coolant. And in my experience the orange is no longer lasting than the conventional green antifreeze. I try to flush my coolant system every year, and still get nasty gunky stuff out each time.Jared W.
