It would last you a while longer if you wanted it to. Mine looked way worse than that when I pulled it out, and I hadnt noticed any problems with it yet. Make sure you check your pilot bushing in the back of the crankshaft; mine was cracked and misshaped.
sorry guys i was out of town,but i got the bolts from the dealer,$3:50 each and im waiting for the clutch to come,i also have to get the flywheel resurfaced and balanced,after they resurface it i was told they can bolt up the clutch and balance the clutch and the wheel at the same time,and mark it so when you install it you just line it up with the mark,is this a good idea?

Could be the difference in it vibrating or not. I would have them do it. How much are quoting you on that?
When my aluminum flywheel was balanced they bolted it to the rotating assembly, crank, rods etc. When I picked it up the guy that helped me mentioned "thats not the flywheel that came with that engine is it", it must have been way out of balance. Without being bolted to anything its neutral.
You can buy a new one for about $110 GM one, best way to go. So you know its not too thin and its balanced.

This is where I get confused. Do they bolt these to another rotating assembly for balancing and assume it will be within a certain tolerance? Or do they expect you to tear down your engine and balance it to your rotating assembly?

Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
