  • im lost

    i was driving home last night, i floored it in my car, as i did that my lights and dash lights dim, and my battery gage went down, after i stoped accelerating it all went back to normal, i have no trouble with starting the car or anything, anyone know what the problem might be

      yeah i thought so to, but i just replaced that within the last year, gettin it looked at today though, well see whats up

        check your battery connections, clean them.

                  ok ill try that, went and got the alternator and the battery tested, they are in great workin condition, ill clean the battery conn. too just in case, anyone else have any advice

                      Did you get your alt from Advance Auto? If so, take it back, cause that's prolly the problem. I went through 9 alts from Advance Auto in 1 day, trying to find one that worked right. They tested each of them in the store, and they worked fine, but when I put em on my car, they wouldn't charge right, or they would whine and then the gauge would drop. Finally, after 3 different stores, I found one that worked right.

                          hmm no i went to a place called pep boys and they put it on, still cant figure out whats wrong, i was thinkin maybe the serp. belt is slipping or something, gonna have that looked at today
