my map lights on my rear view mirror will not turn off. is there some kind of electrical problem, because the guy i bought the car from had the wiring to the mirror unplugged, and he also didnt have a bulb in the domelight. when i plug the wiring part into the back of the rearview mirror, the lights turn on and will not turn off if when i close the door. i turn the map light switch on and off on both sides and the lights will not turn off.

Something is grounding out. Is the hatch shut? Is the light control on the dash below the "all the way up" setting? Just thought I'd check the obvious.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

I had tp spray some WD40 in the light switches on the inside of the doors. Everytime I hit a bump my lights would turn on and I thought the car was possessd. Instead it was just a little dirty ;0
