As you all know. most f bodys 98 and up and even 97's had this option as gms attempt to put a cheap TRACTION solution to out cars and it usually didnt work.
BUT! I figured something out the other day that blew my shorts off.
i started the car and drove down the road to the nearest stop. I figured id see if i could mess around with the second start BUTTON. (i like pressing buttons) :D soo. i did. Which made the little light come on and instantly made me feel like somewhat of a ricer because i thought i was cooler. haha jk. TO THE POINT> i moved my A4 to the 1 position with second gear start ON. I floored it and roasted the tires almost all the way through 1rst and right when it hit 58-5900 rpms i went into 2nd. OMG! it churped into second and shifter faster than it ever has.
When driving normally prior to this finding. i know that when 2nd gear start was on. It always shifter more crisp into second. ALWAYS.
my ? does 2nd gear start somehow increase line pressure? I noticed a huge difference...HUGE.
