The Hypertech's been out awhile for the 2002 and I'd like to get some objective feedback from those who've tried it.
I've got the Jet Chip Stage II, and have had on and off a couple of times and really can't tell a noticeable difference. Are gains from the Hypertech worth the $300+ and eating the cost of the Jet Chip ($260)? Or am I better off spending my cash elsewhere?

hypertech all the way i switched from a jet chip stage 2. and ill never go back. but they say the jetchip helps some people but not others. but hypertech is a beautiful thing you can do so much with it. my car (automatic) went from not spinning much to spinning almost all the way through first gear with 9.5 inch wide tires. hope that sums it up for you. i say by far on of the most noticiable mods i have done.

I've heard it makes a difference on an automatic because it adjusts the shift points, but would it make a difference on a manual when you are shifting yourself?

I love my Jet Stage 2 chip. To get the max performance out of the chip, you should have intake redone(high flow intake), high flow cat, and a high flow muffler. those alone will allow the Jet chip to work better. read on Jet chips website in the FAQ. you will learn lots from that. I myself can tell a big difference with my Jet Chip installed. Never tried to the hypertech though.
OK, you guys talked me into it, I ordered one from Thunder Racing..
For those of you that have experimented with the various options, ie. shift points & rev. limits, have you found anything that really works well?, or anything NOT to do? When I start tinkering, I really want to get off on the right foot so any info would be helpful.
I got the hypertech, its for cars that have had no mods or little mods such as intake/exhaust work. if you have headers or any other mods done it is not for you since it has only generic programming
