  • Where to get harmonic balancer?

I've found my harmonic balancer is causing a slight tick. I'm fairly sure that's why my car throws a P0300 if i hold high rpm for a while (say pulling around a long turn). I tried all the local parts stores and dealerships. The parts stores don't carry them and the dealers told me its $306 but none of the local dealers can even get em.

Yea, some of the junk yards have em. Just seems sketchy since it could be just as bad as mine :). What should I look for if picking one from the junk yard?

I've bought parts from that site a few times before and have always received good condition parts. Most of the places on there grade the condition of the part. Just purchase parts with an "A" condition and you should be okay. I looked and they have "A" grade balancers from $35-$75 dollars.

I usually wouldn't either, but for $35 I'd try one before spending over $300.
