Sorry guys, but I don't know if this is normal or not. Ok, when I'm driving, my oil pressure gauge is pointed halfway, however, when I slow down/stop, the gauge goes down to 1/4 of the way. Then when I get going again, it jumps back up to half. Just making sure this is what's supposed to happen, and if not, what's the problem?

It's "normal" operation for the cars. If you do a search for it I know it's been beat up preety good (hell I think I started one or two or those topics).
With the summer heat it will stay that way. i usually have Walmart change my oil because it is actually cheaper by the time you buy oil, filter, fluids, and other stuff. anyway, they messed up and put in the wrong oil so I told them to re-do it. then after running it for a bit they put new oil in. I got in my car and it seemed to run a little smoother and my oil pressure was a between half and 3/4 for the first 1500 miles(halvaline didnt maintain pressure). then it was back to normal. i didnt have enough money to get castrol gtx is why the psi didnt maintain its higher pressure.
I would buy really cheap oil and change it after romping on it for a few minutes. then put castrol in and you will see your pressure be higher than usual. i think it is from practically flushing your engine with good oil.

I recently am using synthetic oil, runing at around 180*. Although, i do not have a 180* thermostat.
