im in the middle of getting a pro 5.0/b&m ripper short throw shifter, or getting intake mods. the short throw would set me back about $200, and the intake mods for my 2001 v6 camaro (SLP cold air induction, whisper lid, k&n filter), would be around $300 i think. which do you guys, or girls, recommend getting first? thanks in advance!

hmmm....quicker shifts or more power? tough decision. i'd say get the shifter, lid, and filter, and wait on the SLP CAI. remove your air silencer (the black plastic piece behind the airbox) and replace it with HVAC ducting. do the free ram air mod to hold you over until you get the CAI.\'98 Camaro - SOLD
Best E/T: 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH
60\': 2.131
members.cardomain.com/skorpion317
1998 Saturn SL2
Official NJ Disturbance bracket racer

on another note, how should i setup a new intake if i decide to mod that first? at first, i was thinking slp ram air(which i first called slp COLD AIR, oops), whisper lid, and a k&n filter. but after some further reading, i see that a lot of people were suggesting the fast toys ram air kit. the ftra, however, is $175 but the slp one is only $130. im so confused!
btw, if you guys cant tell, im new to performance mods. my main expertise is car audio 2001 3.8 Camaro
-FTRA, Whisper Lid, K&N Filter
members.cardomain.com/jaberocs

as far as i know, there's no real difference between the FTRA and the SLP ram-air. they both have the same basic function. i'm probably gonna spring for the SLP soon.\'98 Camaro - SOLD
Best E/T: 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH
60\': 2.131
members.cardomain.com/skorpion317
1998 Saturn SL2
Official NJ Disturbance bracket racer

yes, LSD is limited-slip differential. it makes sure that the wheels spin at the same speed so that in a corner (or launching from a stop) both wheels have the same amount of power. otherwise, the wheel that has less weight on it will spin at a higher speed and slow the car down. i'm pretty sure that's the explanation for it, but don't quote me on it. anybody else wanna step in?\'98 Camaro - SOLD
Best E/T: 15.489 @ 86.48 MPH
60\': 2.131
members.cardomain.com/skorpion317
1998 Saturn SL2
Official NJ Disturbance bracket racer
