    That's exactly why I changed my gasket...tranny was already out (replacing stall converter).

      i have never really heard of there being a problem with oil pans rusting.. but gm has been making them from stamped steel for 50+ years

      the biggest b!tch is getting the oil pick up on and off.
      if you twist the oil pan, the pickup is right there, it was the easiest thing about changing the gasket.. the hardest was trying to get the pan to clear the exhaust
