  • undercoating oil pan

    Hey all

Anyone know of a good spray on undercoating that I can use on the oil pan? I don't want to have to worry about the oil pan rusting out when I put the new one on.

When I had one put on there already sprayed painted , but we don't have rust in PHX. But if there was I would just use some rubber undercoating.

if you don't bottom your car out and hit your pan on anything you shouldn't worry about your pan rusting.

Well that's funny Kristen because I never ever drive down dirt roads, I have never bottomed my car out, But I do drive it every day as my primary car. So I mean I have no choice but to drive it in winter and all that. I try and clean it as much as I can in the winter time but yea the oil pan is really rusting out bad. I noticed it the last time I changed the oil. The entire bottom half is very rusted and very soft. The only thing that I can think that is doing it may be because of the winter but I'm not sure.
