        Unless you're buying diamond studded QA1's, I can't see how you're spending $3000....

          Re: I've had it!

I've never had any issues with autozone in my town. I prefer them over anything else, here.

About the wipers, Any wiper they sell you will work they just go on differently. But the problem with them is they dont clean the entire windshield.

I recently switched to the trico's and they work great. Much easier than swapping arms. Looks like a PITA to swap.

PITA to swap wiper arms?? Its ONE nut holding it on. Grab a socket, take nut off, remove old wiper arm, install new wiper arm, re-install nut (righty tighty, lefty loosey), done. I have a harder time trying to put the key in the lock on my front door without lights in the hall after a drunken orgy. I did the swap in the parking lot of a Lowe's in SERIOUSLY 2 minutes, both of them, right before it rained.

FYI, if you (generalizing, not a personal attack on anyone) can't figure out the complexities of a socket, nut, and bolt, GTFO now. This site is simply not for you.

              The GM dealership.

So you're not planning on doing the work yourself? You can order suspension ANYWHERE, and it's silly easy to put on. I had all my shocks and springs replaced in my garage in under 2 hours with HAND TOOLS. Geez.

Then you're simply not looking. There are plenty of resources and people here that can help you find the parts, help you install what you want/need to do, that is the whole purpose of this site. Stop shopping at Autozone for one. It sucks balls. And for another, there are PLENTLY of places other than a dealership that offer suspension parts, both with locations or online.

I don't usually say this much, but DO A SEARCH, and you will find what you're looking for. Seems like you just want to take the easy road then pout when its not so easy, when in fact, it IS that easy, and you just don't know what you're looking for.

$3000 is ****ING ASININE. Not to mention, you DON'T need to have the large majority of your suspension stuff installed at a shop. The ONLY thing you need to have a shop do is an alignment, which shouldn't be more than $60. Outside of that, a simple set of hand tools and you can install 90% of the suspension parts you could ever want or need. But you have to put some effort into it, and do a search.

Lemme ask you something, you think a Toyota is going to be cheaper to replace suspension parts? They're going to charge the same price, because they'll tack on a surcharge for the parts, and the labor will come out to being almost identical to the GM dealership. Is there a reason why you can't or don't want to do the labor yourself?

FWIW, you also need to know a little more about your car. MANY, MANY, MANY different parts are interchangeable between years, and even between some models. GM stopped making the parts for the car in the 60's, and started making the car for the parts they had. Alot of the parts that you think are specific to one model car aren't as specific as you think. Just because you have a 1996 Camaro doesn't mean that only parts for a 1996 Camaro will work, and that no other parts will. ITS BS. My car is running proof of that.

I have a 1995 Firebird, Cali car. '95 3.8l engine, heads from a 2000 Camaro, PCM from a 1997, EGR from a 1997, serpentine tensioner from a 1996, and a steel driveshaft from a V8. My car is a hybrid parts car more or less. Runs me around Chicagoland everyday, for the most part, without problems. ALOT of people on this board have cars like mine, parts here and there from others. Ive spent less than $1500 rebuilding the top half of the engine and the car in general over the past 3 years.

Just do some research first before you get pouty about the car. You're simply giving up too fast, and you don't really know what you're doing.

lol you're *****ing about maintenance costs on an american car. a l36, v6 camaro for that matter.

that's funny. is this like the first car you've ever owned? cause it only gets worse from there.

Do you think a Supra would be any cheaper to maintain than an Fbody?

C'mon man, all this over wiper blades? Your "particular" 96 v6 Fbody isnt special and getting suspension parts isnt difficult, dude. If you are having trouble finding parts, post up and ask for help.
