Sounds like coil packs, but it's always nice to have a maf screen
    Wait, Is that a V6 or V8?

Change the spark plugs and wires. If that doesnt fix it its most likely the coil packs or ICM (ignition control module). And put your MAF screen back in.

2nd on the plugs and wires. I had same problem, hesitation and studdering and new plugs and wire cleared it right up. Forensic analysis pointed to a corroded wire connection (probably from spraying the engine down with degreaser and getting some water forced in there).

          I'll "3rd that" haha

same thing happened to me in June. 54,000 miles and it had never had a tune up or spark plugs changed....

sounds like you need new plugs and wires.
