  • Temp Gauge AND Fuel Gauge no longer work...

Okay, my fuel gauge plain and simply quit... It always reads full even after 100 miles of driving...

My temperature gauge, first my car was taking quite awhile to warm up, Im talking 30+ minutes of highway driving after a cold start.... Then just about 15 minutes ago I was on the highway and it dropped from 210 to the peg just to the left of 100... The fans IMMEDIATELY kicked in and they won't go off until the car shuts down...

    Whats going on?

I was originally intending to do a motor swap to this car but is it looking like I really need to look into getting another car? I really wanted to avoid car payments for awhile...

The fuel gauge sending unit probobly went bad. As for the temp gauge and the fans turning on, i had this happen to me and can tell you exactly whats going on. when you get the trouble code for your coolant temp not getting to temprature fast enough or for not staying warm enough. instead of throwing an SES light the PCM kills the gause and turns on the fan as a precaution. That being said your thermostat may be stuck open, as this would cause this or your temp sender is going bad. both are easy enough fixes.
