Still there. Never removed. Heard it was a bad idea.

What about the Cat converter? Could it be clogged? It didnt start running this bad until I went to make an exhaust vid and ever since, its been doing this at part to WOT.

It's a hi-flow but its around 3-4 years old and alot has happend in that time span. Still no SES light/codes.

Ok I did some checking and I can barely feel anything coming out of the exhaust pipe. And when I stick my hand close to the pipe my hands get a sticky resudue and its throwing out some strong fumes.

Clogged cat has got to be it. 2nd opinions?

Definitely not a bad idea. Especially if it's acting up under stronger acceleration.

It's almost non existent when normal driving and when I get on it, it just hesitates real bad.

I think you made have found your answer. I always overlook cats since neither of my cars has one. It's possible it was severely clogged when it was acting up earlier and some of it cleared out as this thread went on. I just know one thing though, if you idle your car a lot.. Like in the morning to warm it up, which if you are in Texas you probably don't do, it can make the cat go bad faster. They need flow to prevent a buildup of heat so I've heard.

Re: Potential problem? (flutters at startup)

It gets really cold in the mornings so I tend to let the car warm up 50% of the time.

Alot of times though when I go to work I dont have time to warm it up.
If it really is the cat then I'm most likely going to delete it and get a sim.

I'm voting a sticky injector. My car did the same. exact. thing. Missing, rich, poor 3/4 to WOT performance. Do what you have to do to rule out a sticking or set of sticking injectors. If your engine is missing from overloading fuel, your only pumping it into your oil system, which is how I lost my motor. This isnt a OMG STOP DRIVING IT AND FIX IT!!! but smell your oil, make sure you don't smell gas, and get the injectors checked out. Also check your fuel pressure regulator.

Good, nice to hear that it wasn't something difficult or expensive to repair. :)

                        Yeah just a pain. Lol.

And actually it wasnt 2/5 It was 1/4 IIRC.

Good! That's a lot easier to replace than a cat.

Lol indeed. But it probly needs replacing, its rattling.

make sure its not hitting anything underneath the car.. i had bad cat rattles until i disconnected my exhaust and put it back up, and it stopped

Its not hitting I've looked and even had a shop look at it. Theres just metallic tinging noise going down the road.

I'm probly going to strait pipe it and get a sim before inspection time comes around. It still flutters at startup in the mornings and strong fumes so I'm sure its the cat going out.
