annoyingly loud? no, if you have any type of exhaust you probably won't hear it once the car is started. just a little hum noise when you turn the key on
Ditto, little noise at start up, never hear it again. Don't go with an ebay special. They are rarely ever "real" walbros, many chinese knockoffs out there. Go with a Racetronix setup, might cost twice as much, but you shouldn't have any issues.
Where did you get the racetronix from mike? Would you happen to have a part number? I want to replace mine in the spring. Did you drop the fuel tank or make a cut-out up top?

I'll see if I can find the link I had and message it to you.
ok so if i do go with the racetronix I want their whole kit right not just the pump? In the description of the kit it sounds like they are still using the bucket, is their a different kit?
It's always recommended to run the wiring harness along with the pump. Stock wiring cannot delivery enough volts to the pump to get everything out of it. Although it will work with stock wiring you will not get much of a gain in performance over the stock pump. If you don't have the $$ right away you could buy them separately but then you'd pay shipping twice :(
The racetronix F-body pumps all work exactly like a stock pump, weather it's a 97 and earlier, a 98 metal tank or a 99+. Just provide lots more flow :burn:
You could probably get away with just the pump kit. The hotwire is pretty nice and would ensure you have ample voltage. If it were my money, I'd go with the complete kit.
