Ok so I guess i had ****ty quality anti freeze and it froze today. I did not run it hot. Its a slow leak right on the front of my 3.4.
In order to gain access to this plug I have to raise the engine off the subframe, remove the oil pan. Remove the tensioner, ac, waterpump, timing cover.
Should I pay to have this done, or should I do this myself????
not familiar with with the 3.4, but I can't see any reason (atleast on the 3.8) to remove all that stuff to get to the frost plugs? usually they are fairly accesible...just pop a new one in and gently hammer it in with a socket and extension...
Its in view but right behind the timing cover. Ha so the timing cover has to come off, but the oil pan has to be dropped to get to the timing cover. Lotsa work.
I wanna know whats the best way to rasise the engine to drop the pan.
the oil pan does NOT need to be dropped to take off the timing cover. The most work you will have to do is take off the waterpump and maybe another bracket or two
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
