  • fuel leak. please help

i would love it if someone has any input on this issue. my 94 5-speed 3.4 has developed a gas leak. had it parked for a couple months and just started driving it again for the winter and noticed the smell. if i let it sit there and warm up for just a couple mins, i go to get in it and the smell of gas is terrible. when i put it on the lift today when it was running, it was running down from somewhere and dripping off the front of the bell housing. there was a good drop every 2-3 seconds. the car isnt running any differently and still idles normal. the car does have 270k miles on it and motor wise everything is original besides the clutch. i just didnt know if anyone has had this same problem and could steer me in the right direction. when i looked at it i couldnt tell where the leak was starting from other than it was dripping off right infront of the flywheel. and help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

I'm not sure where the fuel lines run on the 3.4 but check those, chances are letting it sit for that long something could have put a hole in your fuel line (mouse, age, any number of things)

someone correct me if I'm wrong but from the description this is what I think it is.

Also, welcome to the forums :)

Yup, you're gonna have to get in there and back trace that leak. We can't see your car through the internet to tell you where it's leaking from!! :)
