K i all know you guys dont really like me but whether or not you guys bash me non stop you guys do know what your talking about when it comes to general tech, fixing issues, mods, everything and that's why i keep coming back to this site. so saying that please help, cause one of you gotta know how to fix this.

This just started about 5 hours ago and is still happening anytime i accelerate more than just normal my tach (in the dash) and (5'' tach) JUMPS AROUND, goes to zero, to around 5000 then back to 1000 then will go normal stuff like that. Could it be a sensor, loose wires or something else also just saying this two, nothing else is jumping around in the cluster MPH/fuel/temp/oil/volt just saying please if you know the issue let me know thanks.

    Re: Tach Issue

is it just the tach jumping around or is the engine actually spinning along with those RPMs?

            Re: Tach Issue

My guess would be the ground for your aftermarket tach. It is probably messing them both up. A simple way to test would be to unhook the aftermarket one all together and see if the stock in dash one works correctly.

              Re: Tach Issue

So both in dash and your monster tach are jumping around? Just go over the wiring where you tapped into the tach then, thats the only reason you would have a problem with the stock tach.

I recall in the post where you installed the tach, that the wire you spliced into was somewhere around the PCM? maybe it came loose check that and the grounds like mentioned.
